Final: Piedmont remained undefeated after beating Leeds behind a ferocious ground game led by Taylor Hayes 29-14.

Leeds looking to knock off undefeated Piedmont got off to a rough start. After a strong kick return, Leeds first play was a dropped pass and followed it with fumbled snap that ended in the arms of a Piedmont player.

Piedmont was able to capitalize on the turnover, converting a 4th down and punching the ball in from a yard out to get on the scoreboard first. A missed extra point left Piedmont with 6-0 lead midday through the 1st quarter.

Leeds responded with a touchdown drive of their own, set up by a 50-yard run. Leeds' Gyderious Rogers took the ball into the endzone from a yard out to give Leeds the lead after a quarter of play, 7-6.

Piedmont looked to answer but had a promising drive end when a Leeds' player picked off an errant pass.

Leeds was unable to take advantage of the pick and was forced to punt.

Piedmont inched their way towards the endzone but had their drive come to a disappointing end when Leeds forced a fumble at the goal line.

Piedmont was able to recover from the fumble on their next drive and retook the lead with a powerful run into the endzone. Piedmont tacked on a 2-point conversion to go up 14-7.

Not satisfied with going into the half with a one possession lead, Piedmont pushed the ball down the field and scored on a perfectly thrown ball just before the end of the half to extend their lead 22-7.

Half time: Piedmont 22-7 Leeds

Piedmont opened the second half fast with big gain on a pass to Derrick Baer to move Piedmont into scoring range.

But, Leeds was able to generate their second goal line turnover by forcing Hayes to fumble just before he crossed into the endzone.

Leeds however was unable to move the ball effectively and was forced to give the punt the ball back to Piedmont.

At the end of quarter 3 Piedmont held a 22-7 advantage over Leeds.

Leeds found some offensive rhythm in the 4th, crafting a drive that ended with a wide-open touchdown strike to close Piedmont's lead.

With Leeds looking to mount a comeback, Piedmont found the offensive power that carried them in the first half. Piedmont ran the ball straight down the field and extinguished Leeds comeback hopes with Taylor Hayes 3rd rushing touchdown of the game.
