Thanks in large part to Spencer Brown's 300 yard 5 touchdown performance, Mortimer Jordan pulled away from Hayden in the 4th quarter to move to 7-2 on the season.

Hayden (7-2) started the game off with a strong drive capped off with a Leonard Johnson touchdown run to give the Wildcats an early lead.

For Mortimer Jordan the Spencer Brown show began quickly as Brown crashed into the endzone for a touchdown on the Blue Devils first possession. The Blue Devils went for 2 and handed the ball off to Brown easily crossed the plane.

Brown's day was only getting started. On the Blue Devils next possession, Brown took the first play of the drive 67 yards for a touchdown on a pitch play. Mortimer Jordan tried for 2 again, and again Brown was able to convert, giving the Blue Devils a 16-7 lead.

Hayden was able to respond with their next drive in large part thanks to executing on 4th down. On 4th and 3 from the Blue Devils 29, Colton Shirley caught a perfect Sheridan Miller pass and walked into the endzone.

Mortimer Jordan took a 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' approach as Spencer Brown ran into the endzone for his 3rd touchdown of the first half, and the offense converted their 3rd two-point conversion.

With just under 3 minutes left in the first half, Mortimer Jordan utilized Brown again as he scored his 4th touchdown of the half on a 23 yard run.

Hayden answered with 1 yard Caleb Wilson run to cut the Blue Devil lead down to 8.

But the Wildcats left too much time on the clock as the Blue Devils' Moore delivered a perfect strike to Trey Peters for the touchdown with only 28 seconds left in the half.

Utilizing a surprise onside kick to start the half, Hayden got off to quick start in the 3rd. And it didn't take long for the Wildcats to capitalize on the successful onside kick as Leonard Johnson took it to the house to pull Hayden within 7.

Hayden was able to get their first Blue Devil stop and the running lanes opened for Johnson as the Wildcats moved close to the goalline. Cole Goolsby punched it into the endzone to even up the score.

But after tying things up late in the 3rd, Mortimer Jordan used a reverse to Peters to regain the lead and the Blue Devils never looked back, scoring 24 unanswered points to close out the game.
